Do you have difficulty staying focused on any task you want to complete? Do you start decluttering or organizing your house and you find that you get distracted and never fully finish what you began to do?
You may have chalked it up to having "mom-brain" or if you’re not a mom you may have even thought that you have adult ADHD. I totally know how you feel. I have struggled with staying focused as an adult myself, and I have realized lately that my phone actually is a massive culprit in my ability to focus.
On today's show, I am bringing on Sandy Cooper someone I highly admire and who has done several episodes on her podcast about social media and our phones and how they affect our mental well-being. I hope that you will hang out with us today and tomorrow as I share with you this two-part conversation about our phones and social media and how they affect our ability to focus.
If you want to actually follow through with decluttering and organizing your home, these two episodes are for you!

Wednesday Feb 08, 2023
Wednesday Feb 08, 2023
I have found that refrigerators and pantries are two of the most challenging places in the home to keep decluttered and organized because they are ever-changing.
It’s unlikely that we’re buying the exact same ingredients every week when we go to the grocery store which makes having an organized food storage system somewhat of a challenge.
That’s why I encourage you to do a weekly refrigerator reset and on today’s episode, I’m walking you through the exact steps I take to make that happen every weekend in our home.

092 \\ Declutter Your Catch-All Spots with this Easy 5 Minute Method
Friday Jan 27, 2023
Friday Jan 27, 2023
Let's chat about those pesky little catch-all spots we all seem to have in our homes. You may have just one catch-all spot or you may have several. Don't worry, you don't have to raise your hand or anything, but you know those spots in your home that I'm talking about.
A catch-all spot is anything place that seems to catch it all. It catches the mail, papers from your kid's school, birthday and Christmas cards, and receipts. It may even catch library books that need to be returned or recipe cards you never put away. Catch-all spots are simply designated areas to store items we don't want to or know how to deal with right now. They can also contain tasks we're procrastinating to complete.
I know your catch-all spots probably cause you a lot of frustration so today I'm walking you through how to declutter your catch-all spots with my easy 5-minute method. Also, make sure you stick around to the end as I share a bonus tip for how you can get rid of your catch-all spots for good.

091 \\ 5 Things to Declutter, Organize and Reset for the New Year
Wednesday Jan 25, 2023
Wednesday Jan 25, 2023
I know we are already halfway through January but it is never too late to do a New Year reset. I’ve shared with you many times on the podcast about my habit of doing a nightly reset in my home. My daily reset is really simple and it follows the natural flow of our evening routine as we progress through the different rooms in our home.
After doing it for over a year, resetting the house in the evening has become second nature for me. It’s something that brings a lot of peace and closure to my day and I rarely go to bed a night without doing the reset. If you’d like my daily reset checklist where I go into more detail, you can download it for FREE at habitsandhome.com. Once I learned the concept of resetting my home daily, I started applying resets to other times like on weekends and at the end of every month.
I even have a reset for the year, and on today’s episode, I’m walking you through 5 different things I declutter, organize and reset at the beginning of every year.

086 \\ How to Create a Cozy Hygge Home for the New Year with Jenny Good
Wednesday Dec 28, 2022
Wednesday Dec 28, 2022
The Christmas holiday is over, and we’ve already started taking down Christmas decorations in our home. I used to leave up the Christmas tree into the new year, but I just find that I'm really energized and eager to go ahead and reset my home.
I do love the coziness that Christmas tends to bring and it does kind of make me sad when I start to take down Christmas decorations since they make our home feel cozy and festive. It's somewhat of a letdown once all of the decorations are packed away.
On today's episode, I'm chatting with Jenny Good about hygge, which is a way of living that brings a lot of coziness and warmth to your home. I thought it would be a great topic to cover after the Christmas season when we start to pack up Christmas decorations and our homes start feeling a little sparse and bare.
Join us as we discuss how you can bring some hygge to your home after the holidays to create a cozy and warm atmosphere in your home again.
